About Madeleine Choir School
The Madeleine Choir School, a mission of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Salt Lake City and a service of the Cathedral of the Madeleine, is an elementary school for children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Eight. The Choir School pursues rigorous academic curricula in the humanities, mathematics and sciences, and the arts.
About the Film
THE CHOIR documentary chronicles a 'year in the life' of the boys and girls of the Madeleine Choir School choir, their commitment, discipline and focus on a musical tradition that is beyond the ‘pop culture’ and the homogenized impression most people get from current television shows.
Sacred Music Colloquium XXII will be the most exciting and largest in history. It will be held at the remarkable Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City, Utah; Dates are June 25-July 1, 2012.
